The Sciences 8 (Credit: 1.00)The Sciences VIII presents lessons that continue to build on previous scientific concepts. Students study types of chemical bonds and chemical reactions. They learn to read chemical formulas and balance chemical equations. The topic of waves is discussed including wavelength, crest, trough, amplitude, and frequency. Students study the cell processes of meiosis and mitosis and investigate DNA bonding. A study is made of Mendel and inherited traits. Students learn about the science and technology involved in constructing and maintaining the International Space Station.
