English: Literature (Credit: 0.50)The unit presents the components and reading of different genres of literature-novels, short stories, poetry, drama and nonfiction. Students explore literary elements, expository writing techniques, literary devices, drama elements, and literary sections. Students also listen to audio reading of passages and watch videos of reader"�s theater drama presentations.
English: School and Jobs Skills (Credit: 0.50)The unit develops effective evaluating and communicating skills, including speaking, listening, viewing media, interpreting graphs and maps, and using multimedia and visual aids. Students learn how to improve their vocabulary and spelling through various practices, including analyzing word parts and origins, using spelling rules, and learning homophones.
