English 4 (Credit: 1.00)In this course, students continue to develop skills in grammar, punctuation, word usage, spelling, vocabulary and communication. This course also teaches students about complex writing process, types of writing, reading strategies, study skills, and modes of reasoning. Additionally, students read works from different periods of British literature and examine these texts to learn about various literary devices, forms, styles, techniques, and influences.

The lessons, projects and writing activities in this course cover
grammar, punctuation, word usage, spelling and vocabulary.
Students will also learn communication skills, academic and
workplace skills, reading strategies, study skills and modes of
reasoning. Finally, the course will cover literary devices, forms,
styles, techniques, and influences, as well as the writing process
and different types of writing, such as narrative, exposition and
research. Built using responsive design principles, this HTML
course is mobile-friendly, meets accessibility requirements,
and includes expanded projects and assessments (including
performance assessments).
